11 - 19 September 2021

Online and Open Studios

Welcome!

The Peacock Arts Trail is preparing to take flight for 2021! In the coming weeks we will be building up to the trail, which this year will be from 11 - 19 September. We hope to entertain, delight and inspire you to delve in further and find out what we have coming up.

With over 70 artists and craftspeople taking part, our creative community is standing strong, despite the challenges of the past 18 months. The Peacock Arts Trail 2021 is your opportunity to support your local, independent artists and craftspeople and have fun! Over the nine days of the trail, you will have the chance to meet the artists, see their work and discover new art forms, as well as roll your sleeves up and take part.

A little background to the 2021 trail -

This year's trail was originally going to be online only due to uncertainties around Covid restrictions when planning. However since restrictions have eased we have decided to run our traditional open studios as well, giving our exhibitors the chance to exhibit online, in a venue or both.

So whether you love to visit venues in person, or prefer to 'chat' to the artists from the comfort of your own sofa, this year's event will have something for everyone!

Make sure you follow us so you don't miss out...

Discover our fabulous exhibitors on our brand new website! With lots more images and info than previous years, take a moment to curl up in a comfy chair and explore -

This year we will have lots going on our website and social media channels. To stay up-to-date with this year's online programme of events, demos and videos of artists at work, follow us...

Maker Spotlights

Throughout August, we will be releasing a series of blog posts giving you an insight into each of our exhibitors' work and the person behind the art. How did they learn their artform? Is their studio perfectly organised, or organised chaos? And who's essential tool is a water sprayer?!

To find out the answers to these questions and more, follow our blog and social media to get your daily updates. Prefer more of a digest? We will be sending out a weekly round up of that week's exhibitors for you to browse at your leisure.

Make sure you're following this blog and sign up to our newsletter to get the latest direct to your inbox.

Venues

New for this year, we will be having a special 'Peacock Arts Open Windows' exhibition in Corsham town centre, alongside our traditional Open Studios. Chippenham will have group exhibitions in both the Yelde Hall and King Alfred Hall, and Melksham will be having their best trail yet with a community exhibition in Melksham Town Hall.

Many of our exhibitors will also be opening their individual studios and welcoming visitors behind the scenes. Venue details will be appearing on our website in August so please keep checking back.

Entry to all venues is free.

Keep an eye on our Discover The Trail page for maps, events and much more - coming soon!
