Maker Spotlights: each day we will be focusing on individual exhibitors, exploring their work and finding out what makes them tick...
Sharne McAninch of The Brixton Boy is a mixed media artist who uses a myriad of sequins, vintage jewellery and other materials to create her pieces.
Influenced by lyrics and songs, she translates these into her own artwork working from home with lots of natural light, amazing tunes playing and lots of coffee!
A huge Bowie fan, Sharne says, “his freedom of expression and ‘chameleonism’ is a lesson in gender fluidity and acceptance of self, therefore each of my pieces is individual and truly unique”.
