Maker Spotlights: each day we will be focusing on individual exhibitors, exploring their work and finding out what makes them tick...
Samuel Lindup is a painter who describes his work as embracing the far reaches of his mind where sci-fi meets spirituality.
“Inspired by our existence, our history as a species, the detrimental effects of religion”. Depicting things that grow and evolve, in his work you will find imagery in the form of plants and planets, solar systems and symbols inspired by religion and cave paintings.
Samuel says that aged 6 art changed his life, he later went on to study a degree in fine art and now works as a self-employed artist.
When we asked Samuel what his favourite part of being an artist was, he replied, “there are no rules, I embrace my imagination”.
