Maker Spotlights: each day we will be focusing on individual exhibitors, exploring their work and finding out what makes them tick...
Lucy Dowling, of Lucy’s Wild Creations, loves to forage. Natural forms, including plants such as lycans and mushrooms, are her main sources of inspiration for her jewellery. She tells us, “sometimes when I go foraging I come across something strange and unusual and it inspires me to come up with new ideas.”
Lucy graduated from The Birmingham School of Jewellery in 2003 and has since run her jewellery business on and off over the years, in-between family life and work. She is now settled in the town of Chippenham and is dedicated to becoming a design maker and creating her art work around her family life.
Lucy is hoping to get it into galleries and art exhibitions in and around Bath and London. She is also in the process of creating a small business with a friend to support local artists, bringing them together and providing a venue in which to sell there work and network. Lucy is looking forward to meeting more artists on the Peacock Arts Trail to share ideas.
