Maker Spotlight - Glyn Overton

Maker Spotlights: each day we will be focusing on individual exhibitors, exploring their work and finding out what makes them tick...

Glyn is an artist and designer working in a range of media but mostly pastels. With a subject matter covering landscape, seascape, portrait and still life, she has a particular interest in dramatic skies and abandoned architecture.

Glyn admits to getting lost in her work, using colour and form in an exciting way, experimenting with mark making.

When Glyn isn’t painting, she runs day courses in pastel or pen and ink drawing, attends Life Drawing classes, reads and walks. Of her practice Glyn says, “art fulfils my life, I have been doing it over sixty years and have not lost interest once. I have seen the enjoyment and confidence grow whilst teaching students over many years”.
