Maker Spotlight - Chloe Pinheiro

Maker Spotlights: each day we will be focusing on individual exhibitors, exploring their work and finding out what makes them tick...

Chloe Pinheiro is a self-taught artist who works with free movement to create textured and colourful abstract pieces inspired by nature.

Chloe works with a unique textured layering technique to add depth to her paintings and capture areas of light and shade to giving her paintings life.

With a preference for the vibrancy of acrylic paints, which help to capture nature’s organic vivacity, Chloe’s favourite tool is anything scratchy to create, “layering, texture and depth”.

Chloe spent part of her childhood living abroad and was encouraged by the beautiful light to pick up a paint brush. She tells us she has, “had a passion for painting and nature’s beauty ever since”.

Her recent work is a collection of paintings focused on natural water sources, in particular the geological surroundings and weather patterns that impact the flow of water.

When not painting, Chloe loves spending time with her husband, daughter and dog, enjoying the beautiful countryside in and around Corsham.
