Artist Statement:

I studied Creative Arts at Bath Spa University College before doing my PGCE and becoming a trained art teacher. I have juggled my own art alongside full time art teaching for over 23 years and have developed a more painterly and mixed media approach to my work. My recent mixed media landscapes have focused more on creating texture and atmosphere and often the techniques and pieces evolve through the exploration of the creative journey that week. My inspiration comes from my trips to Cornwall, the natural environment, fellow artists, students and from my very creative family.
